Terry Chen is a Canadian actor best known for his roles as "Curtis Chen" on Syfy's "Continuum", "Mark Bao" in A&E's "The Returned", and "Captain Dr. Bobby Trang, MD" in Global & ABC's "Combat Hospital". He currently portrays Brendan in Syfy's Van Helsing.
He was born on February 3rd of 1975, and is from Alberta Canada. His father is from Taiwan and his mother is from China, thus making him of both Taiwanese and Chinese descent. Terry went to school in Edmonton. After that he moved to Vancouver in order to pursue his acting a career.
Chen's first on-screen appearance was in 1999, a television series titled "The Sentiel", he portrayed a very minor character in one episode named Gang Member #1. He went on to work on several other projects since then, such as "Birth of the Dragon", "Strange Empire", "Motive", "Backstorm", "Hawaii Five-0", "House of Cards", "Bates Motel", and many others.
