Duncan Ollerenshaw is a Canadian actor best known for his roles in AMC's "Hell on Wheels", CBC's "Strange Empire" and The CW's "Supernatural" & "Arrow". He currently portrays Dr. Sholomenko on Syfy's Van Helsing.
Being born and raised in Calgary Alberta, he attended York University in Toronto. After that he began his career in theatre.
Before becoming a televised actor, he first became a member of the Shaw Festival in Niagara on the Lake and spent four seasons submerged in Edwardian drama.
Following that, he joined the Stratford Festival Young Company, spending three seasons at the largest classical theatre festival known in North America. He has been performing in theatres across the country for years. Afterwards, Duncan became a known associate artist with Necessary Angel Theatre company whihc was located in Toronto.
Since then, he started acting, appearing in such television series as "Ties that Bind", "When Calls the Heart", "Tom Stone", and "Burn Up".
